I’ve known Kuya Francis since I was 12 years old. He’s Iya’s big brother and he has a wonderful family. Kuya Francis is a crack-up, always the life of the party and always so quick with the wit. His wife, Ate Jenny, is one of the sweetest people I know and you should hear her sing! What a beautiful voice she has! They’ve got two kids, Matthew and Samantha. Matthew is a sweet kid, a bit on the shy side, but once he warms up to you, it’s chatterbox city. And Samantha is, I can see already, a future showstopper. This little lady loves to perform and there isn’t a shy bone in her body. Two great kids because of two great parents – how much more blessed can you be?

I had so much fun on this shoot. I forgot that, technically, I was working. I’ve known both Kuya Francis and Ate Jenny so long that I felt like I was just hanging out with family. We started at their house and, honestly, no warm-up shots needed that morning. Kuya Francis was always joking around that I sometimes had to compose myself to move on. When I was taking pictures of mom and dad, I teased that they were so cute that it was like we were on an engagement shoot.

After some shots at the house, we drove to Frank Bonelli Park. Can’t wait for next year’s family shoot!
