Our trip to Maui for Rachey and Mark’s wedding did not only give us a reason to go on vacation to watch friends get married. It gave me, personally, an opportunity to take in the sights and write and snap away. I didn’t shoot JUST sights though. I actually had an assignment…a shoot with one of my most talented buddies, Mr. Andrew Boquiren. This wonderful friend of mine has an eye for everything aesthetically pleasing, from his acumen for graphic design to his photographer’s senses. It was only fitting that we shot him in as aesthetic an environment as Maui.

You know your nieces and nephew are grown up when you just can’t carry them like you used to…

Ate Lisa and Kuya James live in San Diego and only during family parties do we ever get to see them. And each time we see them, it feels like April’s turning into a teenager, Alyssa’s extra sassy and Anthony’s grown another inch or two. No matter how long it’s been since we’ve seen each other though, these kids haven’t forgotten me and Tin which, honestly means a whole lot.

A few months ago, I had to go to San Diego for a conference and checked to see if Ate Lisa and the kids were free to hang out. We ended up having an early dinner, followed by a trip to this flower shop that sold these WebKinz things that I HAD NEVER HEARD OF (Boy, did that make me feel old!), and then we stopped by a nearby park. They’re hams, aren’t they? So full of energy!

Two months later we saw them at my cousin’s graduation party and my sister got a chance to finally spend some time with them.

Ate Lisa and Kuya James are such awesome parents and these kids, well, I wish I saw them everyday…
