It’s a good day to focus. I know it’s Monday - so very Monday - but whatever you’ve got on your to-do list that you’ve been avoiding 😉, maybe now’s a good time to get in the zone and knock it out. No one provides me with a weekly dose of motivation like Dad. Having lived here in the US for as long as I have, I tend to forget all the hard work that went into this life that I merely walked into when I was 4 years old, thanks to this guy who came to lay the foundation before mom and I arrived. Work ethic and integrity are among the many things I’ve learned from Dad, as well as finding the joy in every moment, patience, gratitude and love for God which he models each day. Still striving to be just like him 🤓 and so thankful that we get to celebrate birthday #72. #motivationmonday

“You can’t pour from an empty cup.” // Trust me - I’ve tried...a lot. Just 30 more minutes, and I’ll be done with work for the day...I’ll be done editing through this shoot by like 2 am...just one more ride this week, just one more minute, etc. There’s always gonna be one last thing, which turns into many things. We’re always encouraged to give everything we’ve got into all we do, “empty the tank,” but scarcely are we reminded to refill it. Hope you’ve all had a chance this weekend to pour a little something back into your cups! Still time left on this beautiful Sunday to do so! 📷: @tlontok

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” ~ Deuteronomy 31:6 // Not all the buzzwords I’m encountering this year are positive. Last week, I realized one that I try to overlook, and Sister Leanne (amazing spiritual director) helped me see that word is FEAR. I’m afraid of a lot of things, but I found that what I’m afraid of most often is losing what’s good in my life - good people, good feelings, etc. This fear has prevented me from fully being present sometimes because I fear the moment is fleeting. This fear also stunts hoping and dreaming. What do I usually do with fear? Well, normally I would wallow and suffer in it because that’s just my way 😬. But maybe offering it up in prayer would be better. God already knows I’m afraid. He’s just waiting for me to hand it over for Him to handle. Why I lose sight of the best resource available to me constantly, I’ll never understand. But I’m always thankful for the reminder. #BeNotAfraid #ThankfulThursday
