17 years – that’s about how long it’s been since Jenn and I had spent more than a few minutes in the same space. After high school, we ran into each other a scatter of times, and then when Facebook came around, we saw glimpses of the other’s life, commenting and liking each other’s posts as a way of communicating. A few months ago, she asked if I could do a maternity/family session for her and I’m so happy she did!

She has a beautiful family, made up of her hubby, Massan and super entertaining, wonderfully amiable daughter, Ava who I took to instantly; and then, of course, another little girl on the way. We spent about two hours at Barnsdall Art Park, and I think I found a new favorite spot to shoot. The weather at 11 am was gorgeous that December morning, and the warmth of such a loving family proved to be all the light I needed.
