Divine Design: Andrew

Our trip to Maui for Rachey and Mark’s wedding did not only give us a reason to go on vacation to watch friends get married. It gave me, personally, an opportunity to take in the sights and write and snap away. I didn’t shoot JUST sights though. I actually had an assignment…a shoot with one of my most talented buddies, Mr. Andrew Boquiren. This wonderful friend of mine has an eye for everything aesthetically pleasing, from his acumen for graphic design to his photographer’s senses. It was only fitting that we shot him in as aesthetic an environment as Maui.

Thanks for letting me shoot you, Andrew!

For the Love of One Team

You labor all year…revolving your schedule around the game calendar, getting angry when the dvr/ti-vo failed to record the tail end of the game, spending ridiculous amounts of your hard-earned money to pay for tickets to sit so high up Staples Center you could almost touch the ceiling. In the end though, when the reward is this exciting, you can’t remember anything but the elation at the glorious, golden trophy waiting for you at the finish line…well, we didn’t get to hold the Larry O’Brien, but the guys we cheer on for 8 months sure did and watching it was enough.

DSC00061Last season was a truly memorable one and, as fans, you don’t pass up a chance to celebrate your favorite team’s accomplishments, even if it means waking up before the sun rises, standing in line or sitting under the hot sun for hours. If you’re a Lakers fanatic, this championship parade is something you wish you could attend every year.

It was a great season…and it was a great day for a parade.

So My Big Sister Got Married…: Christine & Jeff

Ate Tin and Jeff got married in April (shows how behind I am but anyhow), and I got to play maid-of-honor for someone who has been no less than a sister to me. In the 25 years I have known Ate, I can’t say enough of how happy she was the day she became Jeff’s wife. She kept saying, “I’M GETTING MARRIED TODAY!” hahaha!

I wasn’t able to take too many pictures that day because, well, Ate wouldn’t let me take a camera to the altar. But the images that I did manage to take, I will treasure forever.

Ate & Jeff – here’s to a long and happy marriage! Love you both very much!

P.S…gold star for anyone who can guess what song the people towards the bottom are rockin’ to.  Hint: Not Scenario =)
